new year, same God. The word for 2021
At long last, 2020 has come to a close. And what a year it’s been.... One filled with fear, unprecedented times, strange new threats, and political and civil unrest. On a personal note, it's been a year of change, struggle, grief, and some moments of the deepest pain I’ve ever been faced with. But 2020 was also a year filled with growth, with slow and gentle healing, and with the emergence of a clearer love for my sweet Jesus. It was a year still filled with undeniable beauty... shown in new art, new learning, new friendships, and a new love. In hindsight, it's interesting to look back on how 2020 was a tumultuous blend of these two experiences. And i t’s strange isn’t it... how such a tension can exist in life: beauty and ugliness, sorrow and joy. Often found in the same moments, in the same breath. I don’t know what your 2020 looked like, but I’m guessing it hasn’t been the easiest either. ...
